Steve Davies Ordained to the order of Deacons at St Marys Cathedral
On Saturday 18 June, Steve Davies, a solicitor from Allington Hughes Wrexham was ordained to the Permanent Deaconate of the Roman Catholic Church By Bishop Peter Brignall, Bishop of Wrexham at St Marys Cathedral. In attendance was his wife Margaret and his four children Joe, Will, Lucy and Millie along with many family and friends.
Originally from Hattersley, a small town on the outskirts of Manchester, Steve moved to Wrexham in 1999 after being offered a training contract at a local law firm, Allington Hughes. As well as being devoted to his job within the firm, Steve remains a committed member of the Holy Family Church of Coedpoeth which is part of the Wrexham Cathedral Parish in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Wrexham.
A friend to everyone, it was no surprise that Steve had the complete support of his family and the parish in his decision to embark on the Permanent Diaconate Formation Programme in the Archdioceses of Liverpool.
During the three year course, Steve established friendships with fellow deacons in formation from the Liverpool Diocese. He has continued his parish work throughout his training as both an altar server and active member of the St Vincent de Paul society.
