Church, and the individual members of it, undertake to do all in their power to create a safe environment for children & vulnerable Adults to prevent their physical, sexual or emotional abuse'. Recommendation 4 - A Programme for Action The Diocese of Wrexham's Safeguarding arrangements are governed by the National Policies for the Dioceses of England and Wales. A Diocesan Safeguarding commission oversees the work in the Diocese. It meets four times a year. Its members are: Dr Pat Walters (Chair); Rev Fr Shaji Punnattu, (Priest) Rev Fr Moses Amune (Religious Advisor) Colette Owen (Representing the Diocesan Education Service) Pam Hunt (Parish Link Officer) Christine Humphreys (Diocesan Youth Officer) Angela Nickin (Police Officer) Allison Brebner (Solicitor) Kate Blythe (Social Worker) Shelagh Hodgson (Social Worker & Parish Rep) Steve Sidlow (Mental Health Nurse) The Bishop has appointed a Safeguarding Co-ordinator to support parishes in implementing safe arrangements to protect children and vulnerable adults - Mr Chris Corcoran c/o Bishop's House. In each of the parishes of the Diocese at least one person is identified as the Parish Safeguarding Representative. Their names and contact details are displayed on the Church premises.
