The Latin Mass Society is a lay-led organisation (although we also have many clergy members) that promotes the wider provision within the Church of the Traditional Latin Mass according to the 1962 Roman Missal (aka the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite), in accordance with the ,provisions of Summorum Pontificum.
In addition we also promote the use of traditional Church music, particularly Gregorian Chant, and the use of the Latin language in Church affairs.
We are involved in organising and supporting the celebration of weekly, monthly and seasonal Traditional Masses at dozens of locations across England and Wales and are affiliated to the International Una Voce movement which promotes Mass in the Extraordinary Form through its member societies in around 40 countries.
The LMS organises training for priests and servers wishing to learn the Traditional Mass, supports the training of singers in Gregorian Chant through the Gregorian Chant Network, and makes financial help available for youth and family events that draw their spirituality from the Extraordinary Form.
