The Legion of Mary is an international lay organisation. Active members have a weekly meeting and undertake some form of apostolic work, usually in their own parish, but there are opportunities to work abroad. Auxiliary members undertake a service of prayer. The spirituality is based upon the writings of St Louis Marie de Montfort, and is under the patronage of the Holy Spirit.
