Chapter

The Cathedral Chapter was erected on 10 August 1909. 

The Provost is the Rt Rev Mgr James Fealey. 

The other Canons are: Bernard Morgan, James Webb, Bernard Lordan, Joseph Stewart and Terence Carr

The Canons Emeriti are Revv. Leonard Quigley, Patrick Breen and David Eccleshare

National Marriage Tribunal for Wales

The Associate Judicial Vicar is Rev Terence Carr

The Diocesan Administrator is Carol Philpot to whom enquiries should be addressed in the first instance.  She may be contacted at Bishop's House.

Deaneries

The Diocese is divided into 6 Deaneries.  The Deans act as the Bishop’s College of Consultors.

Priests’ Council

The Priests’ Council meets at least twice a year and is composed of the Deans from the six Deaneries plus one priest from each Deanery.  The Bishop is its President and its secretary and chairman are both appointed by the Bishop. 

Pastoral Council

The Diocese has a Pastoral Council created in 2003, with membership from each of the 6 Deanery Pastoral Councils.

There are six Commissions which assist the development of the pastoral work of the Diocese.

There is also a Schools’ Committee and a Safeguarding Commission which deal with specific areas of diocesan activity.

Vocations

The Director of Vocations is Rev Bernard Lordan, who is supported by a Vocations Team comprising clergy and lay members.

The Diocesan Admissions Board advises on applications for admission to the priesthood and the diaconate.
