Trustees
Wrexham Diocese is a charitable trust whose object is the advancement of the Catholic faith. It is the responsibility of the Board of Trustees to administer the assets – the finance and property – of the Diocese in accordance with the law relating to charities and the requirements of Canon Law.
The Board of Trustees comprises the Bishop, clergy and lay people.
There are three members who are appointed ex officio:
Monsignor Peter Brignall as Vicar General and Dean of the Cathedral
who chairs the Board
Rev James Webb as Chancellor
Rev Francis Doyle as Diocesan Treasurer
The remaining members appointed by the Bishop are:
Mrs Kathryn Byrne – Diocesan Archivist
Mr Gerry Walsh
Rev Adrian Wilcock
Mr Keith McDonogh
The Trustees have established a Finance and Property Advisory Committee chaired by Mr Keith McDonogh. The Advisory Committee meets before each Board of Trustees, which then considers the recommendations brought forward. Trustees meet at least 3 times a year.
